Sponsoring | National Team Austria(Austria) Although the last participation of the national team in European Championships goes back to 1977 there has been a great development in the sport of basketball going on in Austria the last couple of years. After they failed to qualify for the Eurobasket in 2003 the squad went on a youth movement playing with very young players around Benjamin Ortner who became the first Austrian player to be signed in Italy. With great success of the youth teams the Austrians are looking into a bright future and Spalding is proud to present the squad in 2008’s Challenge Line.
