Sponsoring | National Team Slovenia(Slovenia) Since the country’s independence in 1991 Slovenia participated in every European Championships and reached the knockout stage for the first time in 2005 which lead to the team’s first appearance in the FIBA World Championships 2006. With great results in the main tournaments over the last few years Slovenia quickly became a powerhouse in European basketball, establishing itself as one of the elite teams with NBA players such as Beno Udrih, Radoslav Nesterovic or Bostjan Nachbar and Euroleague stars like Jaka Lakovic and Matjaz Smodis in the line-up. The upcoming summer the Slovenians will try to clinch their first birth at the Olympic Games at the qualifying tournament wearing the Challenge Line from Spalding.
